KRPA Holding has completed a large, important investment dedicated to maintaining the environmental soundness of all our processes and products. In place are a number of permanent technical and organisation measures designed to protect the local environment from any harmful influence caused by the production. The procedures have been costly but they are working and have helped us to eliminate the negative influence of our production facilities on the environment. Environmental safety is paramount, the impact of our processes on nature is monitored and tailored to work within ISO 14001 environmental specifications.
Sewage from paper-mill machinery and emissions from combustion devices can place a burden on the environment. To ensure that only safe levels of waste are released into the environment, we constantly check all emissions from the plant. We carefully monitor sewage from the mills, which is purified in a two-phase process before being returned to the river, and an authorised laboratory continuously monitors water purity for safety.
